Braised Sea Cucumber with Scallions - A Chinese-Style Three Meals a Day (252) Recipe Steps

Cut the sea cucumber into thick slices. Shred the scallions, slice the garlic, and slice the ginger.

Heat vegetable oil in a pan, then add scallions, garlic, and ginger slices and stir-fry until fragrant.

Add the sea cucumber and stir-fry. Add appropriate amounts of light soy sauce, salt, and sugar and stir-fry.

Add hot water and simmer over low heat for 8-10 minutes.

Mix cornstarch with water to make a thickening agent.

Eight minutes have passed. Add some dark soy sauce, taste it, and adjust the saltiness as needed.

Pour in the cornstarch slurry, stir-fry, and remove from heat once boiling. It's incredibly delicious with rice!
